3. Do I need to adjust my prices?
No, there is no need for you to change your prices since you should already benefit the new commission rates. I would rather recommend you to make sure that your prices are always competitive on the platform to generate more orders and make the most of this new commission structure.

4. What are my delivery methods options if my want to maximize sales?
You have several options available :

☛   You can always deliver orders on your own, for example if you are within Lagos, which is always the most secure option if you want to keep track of your items and remain as flexible with your buyers (ex : last minute change of delivery time that a delivery company won’t be able to manage properly)

☛   You can also use our trusted delivery company Jumia Services which will ensure your package will be delivered or returned to you in a safe and secure manner. That can be a good option, for example if you have to deliver in regions out of Lagos

☛   I can also suggest you a list of delivery companies that our top performing sellers are using at the moment, and that have proven to be secure and efficient options for ecommerce sellers

5. Is Jumia Mall going to implement this change as well?
No, the change will only be for Jumia Market.

6. What if I want to stop receiving orders from outside Lagos?
This is something we can discuss, but remember that you would be losing a lot of visibility on the platform. Our most successful sellers are actually the ones which are receiving orders from all regions, they simply managed to find the delivery company that suits them.

9. I have had a lot of issues in the past with your delivery companies and getting paid. Has anything been done about this?
We are aware of that our delivery partners have had issues in the past in reconciling payments to our sellers, and despite all our effort we know that resolution has taken a lot of time. This is also one of the reasons why we have decided to end our partnership with them.

Regarding Jumia Services, note that they have been working recently to improve their success in term of deliveries and they remain one of the most secure and reliable options for deliveries, payments and returns across Nigeria. Despite all the issues they might have had in the past, I would strongly recommend you to use them if you cannot deliver outside of Lagos on your own.
